Privacy Policy

Slurp Out! (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a noodle puzzle game for iPhone made by Artsiom Shylkin, an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data the game handles, where it is kept, and your choices.

The short version: your progress stays on your device. We have no accounts and no servers of our own, we never ask who you are, and we do not sell data. Anonymous game statistics and crash reports help us make the game better; where the law asks for it they are sent only with your consent, and you can turn them off at any time. Ads come from Google AdMob: you choose whether they may be personalised, and the game uses your device's advertising identifier only if you allow it.

1. Data kept on your device

The game keeps, on your device only:

Your progress goes into your own iPhone backups if you make them. We cannot read any of it. Deleting the game deletes it.

2. Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details, name or Apple Account. The game reads from Apple only which item was bought and its transaction number, which it keeps in your progress so nothing is delivered twice, and whether your Noodle Road Pass is active and until when.

3. Anonymous game statistics and crash reports

To make the game better (which bowls are too hard, where offers help or get in the way, what makes the game crash), the game sends anonymous statistics and crash reports:

How: through Google's Firebase services, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google LLC (and, in the EU and the EEA, Google Ireland Limited), which process this data for us. Firebase gives each installation of the game a random identifier, so that events of one installation can be counted together; it is not your name, your Apple Account or your device's advertising identifier, and deleting the game resets it. The game has no account, so the statistics are never linked to who you are. Your IP address is used to tell the country or region and is not kept by Google Analytics. Google may process the data on servers in the United States, under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Statistics are kept for 14 months, crash reports for 90 days, then deleted. Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Never sent: your name, any text, your contacts, your precise location, your device's advertising identifier, or anything else that identifies you. The statistics are not used for advertising or to track you across other apps and websites.

Your choice: in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, statistics and crash reports are sent only after you agree to them when the game asks. Elsewhere they are on until you turn them off. You can turn them on or off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Anonymous game statistics; turning them off stops sending at once.

4. Ads

The game shows ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC, and in the EU and the EEA Google Ireland Limited): now and then a full-screen ad between bowls, after you clear one, never during play and not before bowl 12; and a video ad only when you choose “Watch ad” for a reward, such as more hearts, a free booster or extra coins. The No Ads purchase and an active Noodle Road Pass turn off the ads between bowls.

To show and count ads and to keep them free of fraud, AdMob receives:

Consent in Europe: in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form (a consent platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework) asks before the first ad whether information may be stored on or read from your device for ads and whether ads may be personalised. Personalised ads rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Without it, ads are not personalised, and without consent to storage on your device Google shows only limited ads that use no identifiers stored there; these rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the game free (Art. 6(1)(f)), which you can object to in the same form, and the No Ads purchase takes the ads between bowls away. Google and the ad partners named in the form receive the data as independent controllers; Google may process it in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can change or withdraw your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices.

Tracking permission: before ads may use your device's advertising identifier, iOS asks whether you allow the game to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt). The game reads the identifier only if you tap “Allow”. If you tap “Ask App Not to Track”, or turn tracking off later in the Settings app › Privacy & Security › Tracking, the game never gets the identifier and asks AdMob for non-personalised ads: ads chosen by the game they appear in and your rough location (country or region), not by what you do in other apps and websites.

Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences, in line with the game's 4+ age rating. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy; how Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Children

Slurp Out! is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, and its ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.

6. Your rights

We hold no personal data that names you: the statistics carry only a random identifier of the installation, which we cannot link to you. You control the data on your device (delete the game to remove it and to reset the identifier) and the statistics switch in Settings › Privacy. You can allow or stop tracking at any time in the Settings app › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and, where Google's consent form applies, change your choices about ads in Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices. In the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you can also ask us about the statistics or object to them; for any question, write to us. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

7. Changes

We will update this policy when the game changes how it handles data. Material changes are shown in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
